going through a time capsule of my own making, I stumble upon group pics from the summer of 86, and from earlier with Troop 111, maybe. And a collection of historic DC documents – on Parchment!!! Bill of rights. Monroe Doctrine. Perhaps these were the seeds of ‘hope’ sewn back when I was younger and didn’t ask the hard questions (can the golden rule be fixed?) – perhaps this is where my beliefs came from.
But now these beliefs don’t support the reality I’m seeing.
