Watching a Gundam Netflix film trailer. “the true intent behind actions” they claim will be part of our future. Hmmm… interesting.

Corvettes and Summer – a movie that caught my attention

a bit before I headed out to adventure with Rumbly I was chipping away at the challenge of a household that’s living life. Pulling up a movie to have playing in the background makes sifting through all the stuff a bit easier for me.

That Corvette Summer was streaming – well, just … wow. Wow. Kudos to good sir Mark Hamil. I’ll add this flick to “Racing the Moon” for a similar ‘Wow – those kids had some amazing acting skills. Wonder if they’ll go anywhere?’ for Nick & Sean‘s similar early career potential.

On a tenuously related note – the 2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1. Perhaps some progress has been made, eh? Probably should dig up the model year of the Summer ‘Vette, eh? (1973 Stingray, says IMDB)

So – how’s your summer going? Hot enough for ya? Been paying attention to the groundswell of hope that’s been peaking its head out over this week – heck, how can you not smile when you hear the Obama’s on the phone, right? Was pondering a post with the title of “896,000 and 1” – need to check in with Boo if that’s an alright thing for us to do, eh? But yeah – between the hope and the clarity of what sorts of monsters lay in wait under the bed – gah. Apparently the Orange Man’s speech last night (?) for a Turning Point cult meeting in FLA was … epic. “Vote this year. You won’t have to vote again in 4 years – we’ll have it all fixed” So, yeah. What the hell.

Wendy was in town, so swung by to see Shari, see me, and meet Rumbly. c. Jul ’24 Yorkville, NY

Above was a lovely bit of serendipity for Rumbly and I’s adventures – Wendy and Mike got to meet the scamp, suspect there were favorable impressions made. Heck, there was even some pleasant times spent with family who’ve been apart – so, again – more hope as proof that the future may be fabulous.

Take care of yourselves, stay hydrated, and remember – in 100 days we get to speak as loud and as clearly as we can. As good soul Clare likes to note – “Make good choices”

ciao,
Scott
