it was evil. And we’ve been at odds with how to ‘deal’ with it ever since. How come?
Poking about back in the photos of the day, seems we were also dealing with impending Fence-a-geddon, and perhaps even Rumbly and Seamus’ dust up. wow. just wow.
6:56pm – ah, yes – what button in my outrage whack-a-mole will be pressed next. Oh, the Supreme Court allows Idaho to have 2nd class citizens as long as they are pregnant – nice going you crack team O’ Nine – you wonder why people hate y’all. It’s not surprising.
But back to the complicit-ness of our general political environment, the inability for those at high levels of power and responsibility to sense the ground view – what happens next?
We hope, ’cause hope keeps us waking up and fighting.
We prepare – just as well as those who love the military acronym library – remember, just because we had matching haircuts did not mean we were truly any better than any other folk who focused on the job at hand.

Seems that our country is destined to get thru this issue come hell or high-water. If you had to pick something to show Rumbly to let him know – “this is who we are” – what would/could that be?
When I have many hours and even more miles to go I try to stay in a good head space, but this past month when I rolled south thru the DC Metroplex (Rumbly was all ‘whoa – this is a big city. a REALLY big city!’ as we donned our solar glasses to get thru Tyson’s Corner’s LoGlow) and thought “well, it would add time to the trip but he’d understand what the Washington Monument is, he’d see DC at night when it’s most quiet and majestic and not crazy… well that’s not what he needs to see/understand…” – so we went by, caught I-95S and at least I was impressed by the progress the route improvement has rendered while also noting the ~25 mile I-95N backup. Sigh.
What can I hold as an icon for my kid to say ‘we have great goodness in us – do not forget; we cannot forget that’ -?
ciao,
Scott
