story time!

For quite some time a long time ago almost anytime I was speaking people noted that I sounded like a DJ. I was always pleased to hear that – took it as a compliment. Recall poking my nose into the San Jose rock station to see if / how to get on the air – think I set my Ninja down on the helmet also – alas.
Columbia school of broadcasting was mentioned, also read a lot. All good suggestions, so I sat on that for another 3 lifetimes (PHX, KNO, DC, LA!) and finally took a voice over class! Woot! Followed that with another voice over class at Santa Monica College. Somewhere there’s a ‘Purina Puppy Chow’ tape that makes Boo laugh.
Fast forward, um – 2 lives? – and I’m involved with WCOM – a Low Power FM station! Tech Notes – where we talked tech and music. Tried to at least. Had fun. Didn’t understand what I was doing, but was that novel? No. Did play “F#*K George Bush” – so I figure I did as much as I could. Remember Moms calling in on Mother’s Day.
So yeah – I was on the radio once. Story? Just me meandering along the path of ‘being here’ – hope you have a DJ/radio station that makes you happy. If not, may I suggest KEXP out of Seattle?
