I’m watching lots of YouTube. I am hope-questing – and that’s a good thing I think.
We took a trek to keep the boy energized – weighted a big lap of the country, but instead had a lovely time in the 315, as we always do. Even made it all the way without a snow/ice situation :- )
All the things Rumbly gets to do when he’s in upstate always leaves me smiling. Shari and David as impeccable hosts, Jo-Anne and Matthew (plus Lily and Daniel!) are incredible friends – we’ll be hoping for another week at the Humphrey’s Adventure Academy come Summer ’25 – and though summer is a season with highs and lows we were never without ice cream when it was hot and humid.
As noted in the title, in 101 days we’ll get to see if our country continues the experiment where-in we hold onto the illusion of ‘we the people’ – from the last last last (?) saturday, thru last sunday, until this morning when it seems there’s an alignment and a bunch of sorely missed energy from the side of the US Political Shit-hole that’s for the betterment of all, for supporting the rights of everyone to bodily autonomy, you know all that liberal/progressive crap – well, I’ll say it here and now – the summer is gonna be long, and hot. And I’ll cast my vote as enthusiastically for Kamala Harris as I was going to for Uncle Joe. Because I want a better future, a better world, a better country for my kid.
I’m glad I’ve somehow set up a place to take input from the big rectangle and the happy peeps at the Tube of You, while getting to sort and chip away at the many many photos I came home with. Yay me! What’s that? pics from the winter in spring run? er, maybe. Again, what’s that? pics from the old to new year run?? sigh.
Ok – so one thing I’m having a bit of an issue with is that one of the NC legislators has blocked me on the Book of Faces. Bad Keith – why would you do that?
He’s demeaned me with lies, and is non responsive to my kind requests to be unblocked. What do you think I should do as I work at finding who needs to contacted at the NCGA?
Yeah, summer time and the weather is still hot.
