I hope this isn’t the first time I mentioned Mark Neppo’s wonderful book – Awakenings – for if it is I’m not sharing the good things as well as I have hoped.
Blood sent me this as a gift a few years back, and there’s an entry for each day of the year – as the beginning is often the easiest place to start again, I have enjoyed having a addition to my ‘must find / have coffee!!!’ morning routine. His writing doesn’t necessarily stir the emotions, it seems to more aptly embrace my soul. And who doesn’t like a kind hug in the morning?
So, funny thing. Didn’t renew my Adobe CC sub; now I can’t use the develop module in Lightroom. grrr…
Having a thing – photos? – helps. Or it should. There’s a constant swirl in my day to day recently (7 years?) – trying to learn about routines and share what I find out with Rumbly, because I do believe that what I can share, what I show, where I take him, who he gets to meet, what he gets to do (say, ice skating and ‘bustin’ a lip’ over winter vacay!) will open up paths for his personal adventure in a positive way; of course that’s projections from my own judgement on what happened in my life. One issue is as wonderful as Shari is at filling in details I’m sure I’ve mis-construed a family story or hilarious fam-gath story in a way that misses a big … thing – persons involved, context, etc. Because, at the end of the day, I am only human.
One thing that’s a tad of a challenge for me is that I can spew words onto this screen for hours, nay – days! But when am I done? What is it that I’m trying to do?
